Great from start to finish (2nd to last Casey Jones ever, the last being on March 27, 1993). Not much else to add...5 stars.

Okay, so what gives? Why does Rhino pull all the soundboards from being downloaded? So they can have more commercial releases.
Then why do they still allow the posting of audience shows of commercially released CD's? It's not very smart business.
Who is going to pay a primo price for a primo show if they can get it for free? That's right. No one.

Economics 101 was obviously not taken by the numbnuts who are in charge. It's a real simple concept; supply = demand. If your supply is free, there is no demand. DUH!!!

Anyway, as with all the shows that I've heard that have been commercially release, there is a reason they have been released. It's usually because they kick ass. DP 27 is no exception. Sweet ass show.
Download it, buy it from dead.net, stream it. Good, solid show. Peace and hang loose.

Amen - Soundground (previous poster) I was there as well and this show was off the hook. The vibe was very palpable in the Coliseum even before it took off in the 2nd set. Everything in the 2nd set is a highlight - I remember feeling that the band was completely an organic unit during Playin' a rare moment of jam-perfection for the 90's. This the best show that I ever saw and is my fave.

This show was insane. I was there. I saw over 150 shows and always had this one in my top three!!! I felt validated in my opinion when they put this on Dick's picks volume 27! 1st set is solid throughout. Let it Grow ROARS. 2nd set just tears. Post verse Shakedown jam for the ages. Best Sampson ever. Sweet Ship. Rollicking Playin>Drumz>Space. Rare Dark Star. Firey Watchtower. Beautiful Stella. I remember looking around during the Good Lovin' and EVERYBODY was just FREAKING OUT!!! Last Casey Jones ever played. Wowsers

First, this audience source is fine, preety good actually. Everyones clear and there's no real interference. Second, this show is just unreal. If your a fan of Vince shows than this is for you. I've only listened to the second set but the entire band is just really into it. Highlights include the Shakedown, and one of the best Samsons I've ever heard, everyones just ripping it. The Darkstar, especially the Jam into is really beautiful and kind of evocative of a sixties era Darkstar, really delicate at first. Everyone's just leaning in to it more. Five stars show for whatever era.
